Tips for Great Shots!

Clothing:

• White or pastel colors are perfect for lighter backgrounds
• Casual outfits in earth tones work best for outdoor photographs
• Middle tones or deeper solid colors are ideal for formal portraits
• Avoid large prints or patterns that detract from your face
• Choose long sleeved shirts or sweaters rather than short sleeved
• Family portraits are best when the clothing is similar in color & generally dark

Hair:

• Plan to wear your hair in a style you are comfortable with
• Avoid new cuts or styles
• For the guys...a fresh shave is a must, trim beards or mustaches

Skin:

• Touchups will be performed to eliminate blemishes and harsh lines
• Tan lines or sunburns require additional retouch
• Makeup should be fresh and natural

Glasses:

• For the best results, remove your lenses or borrow empty frames from your optometrist
• Glare, thick, and colored lenses can distort your final product
